Special Reserve Coffee - Ethiopia Yirgacheffe - 10oz

$22.00

Small batch. Limited supply.

Tewabech Tilo started processing and marketing her coffee in 2019. After losing her husband, she raised her six children alone—all of whom are now college-educated and work to help support her and her farm. Tewabech grows coffee on 6.5 hectares of land in Yirgacheffe, one of 8 woredas, or districts, that comprise the dense and competitive highland zone of Gedeo. Her hectare is considered large for the area, with most other farms covering only half of a hectare.

There are very few single-farm coffees like Tewabech’s available in this region of Ethiopia. The Single Farmer Lots Program helps to break off single farmer lots from the giant cooperative blends, creating a new generation of micro-exporters engaged in start-up relationship farming in Ethiopia’s world-famous southern zones, putting more diversity and traceability into the market of Ethiopian coffees than ever before.

Notes: Strawberry, apricot, jasmine, cocoa
